Failure immediately makes itself felt by a beep, an uncharacteristic sound, a blink, or no action at all. And most importantly - the smart mechanism immediately gives the owner a code of the malfunction that has occurred, which can be used to quickly make repairs.
The codes necessary for diagnostics for errors that have occurred according to the device of the Indesit washing machine are displayed:
- on the general display - when the model is equipped with a panel screen;
- using the combined flashing of the command lights - on models without display.

# 1 - problems with the electric motor (F01, F02)

On electronic models, the indicator lights up F01 or F02, on electromechanical (without monitor):
- “Extra rinse” lights up or “Spin” flickers, “Lock” is active at the same time;
- the “Quick wash” button is active or the “Extra rinse” blinks.
Either no pointer except the lock icon is lit.
At value F01that appears on the display and after a reboot, you must check:
- mains voltage (normally greater than 200 V);
- serviceability and integrity of the socket, cord.

Problem F02 relates, among other things, to the tachometer, which counts revolutions. To solve it, you should carefully inspect all the contacts involved in the motor-tachometer bundles and the tachometer board. There should be no wiring breaks or loose terminals.
Along the way, it is necessary to check the resistance of the tachogenerator - the operating indicator is 100 Ohms and above. Otherwise, the assembly is also subject to more qualified inspection and replacement.
# 2 - sensor failure (F03, F04, F07, F13)
For all these breakdowns, the problem lies in special sensors. You need to act according to the error code and the model of the washing machine.
ABOUT F03 on electromechanical models, the “Revolutions” and “Quick-Wash” burning together or the “Revolutions” and “Extra Rinse” blinking light together. This means that the machine does not heat the water, so the system will not start from the very beginning.
To eliminate the violation are checked:
- rinse function - turn on, turn off, start washing;
- contact elements of the temperature sensor - a device of 20-30 mm inside the tank of the system;
- resistance of the thermostat, which should be 20 kOhm and higher.
If everything is intact or it turned out to be broken, but it was fixed, and the washing still did not start, the thermostat must be replaced after checking it and the entire control board of the master.
Code F04 without a display it is manifested by the frozen “Super Wash” burning or the dynamic flickering of “Soak”.
The system tells the user that the water is not being filled or not being filled enough, even if filling takes place. The source of disruption is a water level meter (pressure switch).
You can find out the pressure switch by its characteristic plastic case and volumetric size; you need to look for it in the upper part of the system. It cannot be repaired due to the monolithic shell - only replacement will save
What needs to be done to correct the inconsistency:
- check for water in the water supply;
- measure the pressure - for the correct operation of the machine you need at least 1 atm;
- inspect the supply tubes, hoses, filters (if there are any clogs) and clean them of debris;
- check the water supply valve for mobility;
- replace the failed pressure switch according to the inspection results by a specialist.

When equipment reports a failure under the sign F07, you need to act in exactly the same way as with F04. The code is simply one of the varieties of pressostat failures.
The only difference is how the machine reports this: “Super wash”, “Quick wash” and “Revolutions” are on, or “Soaking” with “Revolutions” and “Rinsing” continuously flickers.
Encoding F13 expressed by the indicators “Delayed start” and “Super wash” (hang and burn together) or the indicator of turns and the rinsing function. The basis of the breakdown - drying is not performed.
The drying heating sensor does not look like a general temperature sensor: the first resembles a tablet when viewed, the second resembles a long capsule. The standard motor thermostat is oblong and easy to replace

# 3 - incorrect drain and fill (F05, F10, F11, H2O)
The group of problems associated with the operation of the drain pump is similar in symptoms to the manifestations of the previous series of errors.
The most striking symptoms:
- the washer pumped in water and stopped despite being full;
- the system notifies about an empty tank;
- the rinse and spin function does not work;
- no water is pumped out.
The failure of the design of the drain pump is to blame for everything.
The first step is to check the drain filter, sewerage patency. The cleaning unit is located on all models on the side where the inlet of the water supply hose is located. Clogged drain filter, especially with F11, almost always means burnout of the pump, the latter will have to be changed.
A clogged sewer must be cleaned, making sure that the tap of the water supply system is not accidentally closed or the water is not turned off at all.
Other causes of the failure are a malfunction of the water supply valve, damage to the pressure switch, damage to the wiring of the pump-control board assembly and failure of the board itself.
You can fix the wiring, correct, reinstall the pump or valve manually, but the repair of the control module and level sensor must be done by a specialist.
It is possible to get to the Indesit СМА drain pump only through the bottom of the equipment at the front, which is why it differs from analogues of other manufacturers
In order to find out without a monitor that the draining system has broken, you need to check the indicators:
- F05- at the same time they turn on “Super wash”, “Rinse again”, or “Spin”, “Soak” blink;
- F10- “Quickstir” and “Delayed start” remain lit or “Revolutions”, “Extra rinse” shine, along the way, “Door block” blinks at a high speed;
- F11 - continuous burning of “Deferred”, “Quick wash”, “Rinse again”, the second type - “Spin”, “Revolutions”, “Extra rinse” blink simultaneously.
Sometimes modern Indesit models give an inscription unlike the rest H2O. From the outside it seems that this is the letter H and the number 20. In fact, the usual formula of water is used here as an orientation to the fact that the breakdown is connected precisely with the “water” sphere.
The tooltip may appear simultaneously with another code, as an addition, and to eliminate its consequences the same methods are suitable as described for F05, 10, and 11.
# 4 - a failure in the electronics (F06, F09, F12, F18)
If the display shows F06, F09, F12 or F18, the “brain” of the machine has broken - the motherboard. The eraser doesn’t react at all to the given commands, and no matter how much you press the buttons, it only gives a certain code (when there is a screen).
Speaking LEDs allow to understand about damage to the control module:
- F06 - “Super wash” - “Quick wash” is active or “Extra rinse” - “Soak” blinks, plus “Increased pollution” - “Iron” light up, “Castle” quickly flickers;
- F09 - “Delayed wash” - “Rinse” is active or “Revolutions” - “Spin” flashes;
- F12 - “Delayed wash” - “Super wash” is active or the speed indicator flashes;
- F18 - “Spin” - “Quick wash” is active or “Delay” - “Extra rinse” flashes.
You can correct the situation in this situation on your own only by applying a system reboot. Disconnect everything from the network and leave for half an hour, then reconnect.
Checking the integrity of the wiring will also help. All other methods require analysis, repair and reinstallation of the control center.
The motherboard of the washer is a sensitive electronic mechanism responsible for all the work. That is why the place where it is located (the area of the Start button) must in no case be flooded
For position F06 failure of the "Start" button, a triac failure, a wiring break are characteristic.
Infrequent error code F09 signals the need to replace the control contacts of the washing machine, reset the board settings or reflash the entire module.
Marking F12 notifies of a communication failure between the board and the indicator contacts.
Worst of all, when an error occurs F18, To correct it, only a complete replacement of the entire system unit is suitable.
# 5 - faulty heater (F08, F14, F15)
The operation of the heating element - a tubular electric heater - allows heating water and drying clothes to the washing machine. In Indesit models, it is located at the rear.
Mistake F08 - one of the most common during the washing process. This means that the heater does not function.
Among the other symptoms of malfunction: the laundry after the procedure is as dirty as before (for old prototypes), the laundry is washed for too long, the process does not stop on its own, the laundry is still wet after drying (F14), drying after washing does not start at all (F15).
In the absence of a monitor for different codes, they simultaneously light up and freeze:
- F08 - “Quick Wash” or “Power”;
- F14 - “Delayed start”, “Super mode”, “Speed mode”;
- F15 - “Delayed start”, “Super mode”, “Speed mode”, “Extra rinse”.
What needs to be done to fix it:
- inspect the water level meter for damage;
- find out if there are any blockages in the drain-set system;
- check the wiring and contacts between the heater and the module for insulation and integrity, do the same for the heater-thermostat bundle;
- test the control module.
Based on the results of the inspections, it will be necessary to either replace the heater, or reinstall one of the sensors (level, temperature), or install a completely new control unit.

The need to replace electric heating pipes arises before the owners most often, but to do this is quite simple without spending on the master. You will need a flat and curly screwdriver and a key-head.
Work order:
- 1 step - completely separate the washer from all communications.
- 2 step - Carefully unfold the back wall towards yourself and remove the external panel.
- 3 step - under the tank, the contacts of the heater, which goes inside, are visible, disconnect their terminals.

# 6 - wrong position of the drum (F16)
This type of error appears only on washing machines with a vertical loading method. At the same time, the washing procedure does not start after pressing “Start” or suddenly stops in the middle of the cycle. The drum is silent, the lock light is blinking rapidly.
The vertical loading drum should be fixed with a special button before starting to wash, otherwise the hatch will open when torsion and break the machine
It is necessary:
- turn off the system, open the cover, move the drum with your hand - it is often jammed by a foreign object, for example, a detached button or solid parts of underwear - eliminate the interference, start the unit back;
- inspect the drum hatch - didn’t he lean back accidentally (due to damage) and doesn’t stop the movement;
- locking function to test - for him in response to UBL - the device of the hatch block; if damaged, replace;
- control module test for serviceability, replace faulty.
A reverse failure may occur when the drum does not stop. The situation will be solved by disconnecting the washer from the network for 20 minutes.
# 7 - hatch sealing does not work (F17)
Symptom identical to the previous number is caused by the fact that the door could not be locked before starting.
On models without information screens, it is manifested simultaneously by the indication of the “Spin” and “Rinse” (“Power”) buttons or a combination of “Push-ups” and “Delayed start”.
Perhaps the cover just needs to be tightly covered. If this does not work, check for foreign objects or breaks between the inlet and the hatch valve or between the hatch and the rubber cuff. The door also does not close when the drum is overloaded.
Another option - UBL has deteriorated or closed the control center. The problem will be solved by replacing them. The third option is low voltage. This is often observed in individual houses, but in the apartment is not uncommon.
If the power supply does not reach 220 V, an electrical appliance of this size will not work.
The rubber cuff between the body and the tank door can accumulate washing waste or foreign objects that have fallen into the drum. This can cause the lock to fail, therefore, it is better to clean the cuff cavities periodically.
